While salt air therapy is widely endorsed by the medical community in Europe, it is not widely known or practiced in the U.S.. In recent years, the use of a "salt pipe" inhaler has become very popular in Europe and has entered the retail market in the United States. The European "Salt Pipes" are made out of kiln fired porcelain and only a very small amount of sea salt is placed in the pipe chamber between ceramic filters so the user can draw air through the salt.

1. They are fragile and can be easily chipped or broken, especially by children.
2. If broken, you have to purchase a new salt pipe.
3. They cannot be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
4. If the salt gets wet, you have to purchase a new salt pipe.

European "Salt Pipes" are made of porcelain and can easily be chipped or broken if dropped on a hard surface. They cannot be submerged in water without dissolving the imbedded salt crystals. If the salt crystals get wet it will destroy the function of the salt pipe and require the user to purchase a new salt pipe. A Porcelain Salt Pipe cannot be thoroughly cleaned, inside and out after each use, you can never be sure it is completely sanitized before using it again. European salt pipe inhalers retail for about $50.00 to $60.00 in the U.S..

DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND CARE OF THE INHALER:
The Samadhi Salt Air Inhaler™ comes preloaded with a cartridge of Himalayan Salt and is ready to use. Draw air through the silicone mouth piece, inhaling normally, then exhale through your nose. Do not breathe out through the inhaler. It is important to exhale through your nose so the moisture in your breath does not enter into the inhaler and mix with the salt. If the salt in the removable cartridge gets wet, the effectiveness of the inhaler will be diminished.

It may take a few inhalations before the salt air enters your respiratory system. We recommend that you continue inhaling for at least for 3-5 minutes during each session. For improved results use the inhaler multiple times each day up to a total of 15-25 minutes per day. Most people report an improvement in their ability to breathe normally within 3-5 days. As the cleansing process starts, you may experience some normal coughing, sneezing and mucous expectoration as your lungs begin to expel fluid and mucus.

This product is not designed to replace prescription inhalers, medications or other devices. Please consult your health care professional or physician before using the Samadhi Salt Air Inhaler. Discontinue using the Inhaler if any prolonged discomfort occurs. Use by children under adult supervision only.

How to Clean and Sanitize the Samadhi Salt Air Inhaler™
The Inhaler elbow and cartridge tube body are both washable and dishwasher safe (top shelf) and we recommend cleaning weekly if being used on a regular basis. DO NOT wash or get wet the Salt Cartridge as excess moisture will render it ineffective. If this happens replace with a new cartridge before beginning inhalation. See below for Replacement Cartridges. When not in use, store the inhaler in a cool dry place. Silicone inhaler tip should be hand washed only. Use soap and warm water. In order to keep your inhaler in good working order, remove the replaceable Himalayan Salt Crystal Cartridge and clean the inhaler mouthpiece and body with soap and water, or place it in your dishwasher to sanitize. Additional mouthpieces and the replaceable Himalayan Salt Crystal Cartridges are also available from our warehouse.

ACTIVE SUBSTANCE:
Raw, unprocessed, Himalayan Salt Crystals – mined from deep within the Himalayan Mountains – the purest salt in the world, uncontaminated by human pollution for millions of years. We recommend replacing the Himalayan Salt Crystal Cartridge every 3 months with continuous use, in order to insure a fresh source of Negative Ion active, Himalayan Salt Crystals. Otherwise, with occassional use, the Himalayan Salt Crystal Cartridge should remain active for one year or more.

To change the salt cartridge, simply unscrew the bottom locking ring and discard the used cartridge and insert new. Do not refill cartridges. Screw back the locking ring and you are now ready to use the Inhaler. See below for replacement Samadhi Salt Air Inhaler Cartridges.
